LENScience offers a range of programmes for school-students, teachers and scientists. Booking information for current programmes can be found on this page.

LENScience LEOTC Face-to-Face Programme Bookings


LENScience Face-to-Face programmes are designed to provide opportunity for engagement between schools, scientists and related communities. All programmes are designed by experienced science teachers working within scientific institutions.Programmes are available for Year 7 - 13 classes.

LENScience Students as Researchers Programme


Students as Researchers is a Gifted and Talented Programme for Year 10 students, designed to support Maori and Pacific students to engage in scientific research. Bookings for 2014 programmes will be advertised shortly.

LENScience Teacher Professional Learning and Development Programmes


LENScience will be offering PLD programmes for teachers throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands during 2014. Programmes will use a combination of face-to-face workshops, webinars and on-line discussions. Each programme will run for 6-8 weeks.

Words with Winston!


Professor Lord Robert Winston will be visiting New Zealand in 2014. During this visit LENScience will be holding two interactive webinars to enable students throughout New Zealand and the Cook Islands to participate in live debate with Professor Winston.

The programmes will target Years 7-9 and Years 10-13.

Meet-a Scientist Session Bookings


Each year more than 200 members of the professional science and health communities from the University of Auckland and beyond participate in the Meet a Scientist session of the LENScience Face-to-Face student programmes.
