Our Research

Our research demonstrates the importance of education in supporting health and well-being throughout life and the role adolescent education plays in reducing non-communicable disease risk in our communities.

We have a number of overlapping research themes that link to those of the Liggins Institute. Adolescence is an important stage in the life-course for establishing life-long learning competencies, and behaviours that support health and wellbeing in current and future generations. Our research informs programme development, evaluates programme efficacy, and explores novel approaches to adolescent education.

Our unique situation allows us to use a combined education and science research platform to build and analyse effective methods for translation of scientific research into effective action within the wider community.
