Liggins Institute hosts top secondary school student researchers as part of the RSNZ Realise the Dream Awards
LENScience and the Liggins Institute will host students from the RSNZ (Royal Society of NZ) Realise the Dream Awards on Monday 8th December. The top secondary school student researchers have been selected by the RSNZ from school and/or Regional Science Fair nominations based on research projects completed this year. The students will be hosted by a number of different science organisations over the course of their very busy week. The science road-trip will start in Auckland and finish with an awards ceremony at Government House in Wellington.
While the student researchers are visiting the Liggins Institute they will have the opportunity to gain insight into current biomedical research by exploring the Centre’s research facilities, talking with scientists about their research and participating in hands-on activities.
