Students as Researchers Programme
Listed below are current LENScience scholarship students within the Students as Researchers Programme.
The LENScience Students as Researchers Programme engages students in the culture of science by guiding them through the scientific research process. The programme involves students working with LENScience educators and University of Auckland scientists in workshops where they develop research skills within a particular context. The context varies dependent on the partner science group working with the LENScience team.
The programme is by invitation only via a LENScience partner school.
The programme is run in partnership with schools. Workshops are facilitated by LENScience in partnership with the schools. The schools take full responsibility for supporting and monitoring students to ensure progression and attainment of learning outcomes. The scientist mentors create a personal link for the student and their family into the science community and enable engagement at a level not usually possible a school-setting.
